Workshop on “Cyclone National Early Action Protocol and disaster management fund” held
Today, on 24 April 2025, a workshop on “Cyclone National Early Action Protocol and disaster management fund” was successfully held at the Patuakhali District Commissioner’s Conference Room. The workshop was organized by JAGO NARI in collaboration with Save the Children in Bangladesh.
In the workshop, detailed presentations and discussions were held with the guests on the activities and lessons learned of the Child Centered Anticipatory Action project.
Mr. K. M. Abdul Wadud, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief was present as the chief guest. Mr. Nitai Chandra De Sarkar, Director (MIM), Directorate of Disaster Management; Mr. Yadav Sarkar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General); Mr. Hosne Ara Hasi, Chief Executive, Jagonari; and representatives of Save the Children and members of the District and Upazila Disaster Management Committees were present as special guests.
Jagonari hopes to play a more important role in developing coastal disaster forecasting and volunteer activities.
