Jagonari ECD Project Meeting Held with Health and Family Planning Department Officials in Patuakhali

Today, on May 6, 2025, Jagonari organized an important meeting with high-level officials of the Health and Family Planning Department under the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Project. The main objective of the meeting was to find out ways to ensure more effective ECD services in the remote and disaster-prone area of ​​Rangabali through coordination with the Health and Family Planning Department.

The meeting was attended by Patuakhali Civil Surgeon Mr. Dr. Mohammad Khaledur Rahman Mia, Deputy Director (Family Planning) Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Mr. Dr. Md. Mejbah Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Family Planning Officer Mr. Md. Mohiuddin Hasan Rumman and other officials of the Health and Family Planning Department. Mr. Md. Saiful Azam, Senior Manager (ECD) from IRC was present in the meeting.

Jagonari’s Chief Executive Officer Hosne Ara Hasi and Director Program Md. Golam Mostafa were present at the meeting.

The speakers at the meeting provided various suggestions and guidelines to expand and sustain ECD services.

Mr. Dr. Mohammad Khaledur Rahman Mia, Civil Surgeon of Patuakhali District, said, “When the next ECD project after the pilot project starts, permission will be obtained from the Ministry of Health and Family Planning; we will provide all-out support to implement this project and ensure ECD services in remote and disaster-prone areas.”
