JAGO NARI’s WLiE project held a workshop with the Union Disaster Committee in Patharghata

On 21 July 2025, JAGO NARI, under the WLiE Project, successfully organized a day-long workshop with the Union Disaster Management Committee (UDMC). The respective Chairperson, Md. Sagir Alam, of the UDMC of Patharghata Sadar Union under Patharghata Upazila, along with other committee members, was present at the workshop. All participants actively engaged in the discussions, identified risks related to disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change, and shared valuable opinions on mitigating these risks. Based on the discussion, the UDMC developed a yearly action plan. Shukla Mukherjee, Program Manager of the WLiE Project at JAGO NARI, hosted the entire event. This project is supported by CARE Bangladesh and funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
