Shahinoor single-handedly mobilized a community to create a healthy community
Shaheenur Begum (40) lives is in Chhotabgi Union. Her village name is Bothi Para. She is living with her family. A year ago, she joined the Right to Grow project as a CSO member. From the beginning she was doing various social works for CSO. In particular, she worked closely with the community and worked on human rights. Shahinoor was committed to make her village a healthy community. Shaheenur regular attend CY meeting and takes some action from every meeting.
During the process, she visited 45 household in the village and mobilized everyone to stay clean. First, she installed a basin in his own house. Other HH be encouraged by this. When the entire village has installed basin and improved their used latrine, On behalf of CSO Shaheenur has applied to Union Parishad to make a healthy community.
Later, the village was visited by the Union Parishad. 56 in the village of Shahinur is using the hand wash basin and use improve latrine. As a result, children regularly wash their hands before taking food and children are getting well and also children are growing with nutrition properly.
Shahinoor said, “I feel very happy that I have been involbed with such a work. In future I will work to make my entire village and gradually the entire village healthy”
