Annual Meeting of Jagonari General Council Held

The Annual Meeting of the General Council of the non-governmental development organization JAGO NARI was held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the JAGO NARI Training and Research Center (Pathshala) auditorium. The meeting was presided over by Advocate Selina Akhtar, President of JAGO NARI. JAGO NARI General Secretary and JAGO NARI Chief Executive Hosne Ara Hasi started the meeting with an introductory speech.
In the meeting, the members of the General Council were informed about the ongoing and under-implemented projects of JAGO NARI. The audit report, budget and annual report of JAGO NARI for the financial year 2024-25 were presented and approved in the meeting.
The meeting discussed issues such as data protection policy, dream fulfillment guidelines, operational manual, strategic plan, safeguarding guidelines, etc. The meeting discussed issues such as JAGO NARI-USA activities, ambulance services, picnics, etc.
The meeting discussed JAGO NARI’s plan for the next one year. The members of the executive council expressed their opinions regarding the plan. General Secretary Hosne Ara Hasi answered various questions from the members.
Former president of JAGO NARI Hamida Begum, treasurer Sharmin Sultana, executive council member Advocate Ranjuara Sipu, etc. participated in the discussion in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, three members of JAGO NARI were congratulated with flowers for winning awards on the occasion of Rural Women’s Day this year.
JAGO NARI’s president Advocate Selina Akhter received an award from Community Radio Lok Betar this year as the first female lawyer in Barguna in recognition of her significant contribution to improving the quality of life and achieving the rights of rural women and in rural public life.

JAGO NARI’s Chief Executive Hosne Ara Hasi has received an award from Community Radio Lok Betar this year in recognition of her significant contribution to rural public life as a woman leader in improving the quality of life and achieving rights of rural women.
JAGO NARI’s Executive Council Member Advocate Ranjuara Sipu has received an award from Community Radio Lok Betar this year in recognition of her significant contribution to rural public life as a special PP (Women and Children Affairs) in improving the quality of life and achieving rights of rural women.
