Awareness meeting on cyclone preparedness held in Barguna

On April 20, 2025, an awareness meeting on cyclone preparedness was held at Kamrabad Government Primary School in Burirchar Union of Barguna Sadar Upazila. The meeting was held under the cyclone preparedness and response project in Barguna district of Jagonari.

In the meeting, the project participants emphasized on getting rid of various superstitions. The project gave them placards with various slogans on cyclone preparedness and awareness. They read these slogans and read them to everyone present at the meeting and said that these slogans and placards will help them remember cyclone awareness issues better.

The same meeting was held at Baliatoli Secondary School in Pal, M. Baliatoli Union of Barguna Sadar Upazila. In the meeting, along with the project participants, CPP local volunteers participated and talked about various types of preparation and awareness to deal with cyclones. The project gave them placards with various slogans related to cyclone preparedness and awareness. They read these slogans and made them heard by everyone present in the meeting and said that as a result of these slogans and placards, they can remember the cyclone awareness issues better.

As a result of this awareness meeting, the project participants and the vulnerable and endangered people of the community will benefit greatly.
