Disaster Preparedness, Another Important Step in Building a Safe Community

On July 28, 2026, Emergency Protection Equipment was officially handed over to volunteers of Burishwar and Bishkhali Youth Groups for use during disasters under the Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response and Recovery in Bangladesh (ACT-II) project implemented by JAGO NARI.
Members of Burishwar and Bishkhali Youth Groups received these emergency protection equipment from the hands of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Shah-Aziz.
Equipment handed over: Waterproof Gumboot (JCD) – 20 pairs, Safety Helmet (Safeguard) – 16, Hand Saw (JBL) – 8, Folding Medical Stretcher with Belt (Safety Max) – 3, Sleeveless Vest – 40.
These equipment will be used to prepare cyclone shelters, conduct rescue and search activities, provide emergency services and ensure the safety of people affected by the disaster.
