Hosne Ara Hasi said in his inaugural speech, ”The journey of Jago Nari begins with training and capacity building of women. Currently, we have 23 projects underway, among which ‘Child-Centered Anticipatory Action (CCAA)’ is an innovative initiative. Jago Nari is already working successfully in various sectors and has been selected for the SASAKAWA Award. To the students, I want to say – this country is ours, we have to take it forward. MET Club is a platform that will create a platform for change led by children.”
District Education Officer Md. Mujibur Rahman said, ”I am happy that such an educational platform has been established by Jago Nari. If such activities are started in every school, then the students’ practice of practical education and disaster preparedness will be further strengthened.”
Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Nahid Hossain said, ”BAMIS Portal and MET Club complement each other. These two initiatives will help strengthen our anticipatory action process.”

Radar Station In-charge Abdul Jabbar said, ”Rural people often cannot understand the signals of cyclones and cannot reach the shelters on time. Through MET Club, students will be aware and they will be able to play a role in spreading early warnings in the society.”
Upazila Education Officer Moniruzzaman said, ”I am very satisfied with the simulation of MET Club and the participation of students. I sincerely thank Jago Nari, Save the Children and the school authorities.”

Project Manager Nilufar Akhter Banu said, ”We are proud that through the inauguration of MET Club, a child-centered weather education program has been launched for the first time in educational institutions in Bangladesh. Our goal is to make the future generation aware, skilled and climate tolerant, so that it is possible to reduce the damage of disasters through anticipatory action.”
At the end of the event, guests and students jointly pledged to work together to further expand child-led climate resilience and anticipatory action.
