Regional Volunteer Conference & Record-Breaking Mobilization
In collaboration with OXFAM, JAGO NARI hosted a two-day Volunteer Symposium that brought together 400 trained volunteers from all districts of the Barisal Division. The event focused on sharing community-level success stories, peer learning, cross-district networking, and strategic planning for coordinated response.
A highlight of the symposium was the creation of Bangladesh’s largest “Disaster Globe”—a symbolic art installation constructed collectively by volunteers. The globe showcased disaster-prone regions worldwide and represented the spirit of unity, resilience, and the collective power of community-led humanitarian action.
